Episode 4: Christmas

We woke up Christmas morning to a pile of presents and an AMAZING bacon egg strawberry toast and champagne breakfast. Can't beat that. You'll have to take my word for it, because the pictures of the feast are POOF! gone.

Arm full of baby.

We took a special trip to visit the sheep on Christmas day. People aren't kidding about the sheep. They're sprinkled on the hills like jimmies on a sunday. Except for smelly.

At the last count, there were about 4 million people vs. 40 million sheep. I found an interesting article about sheep burps while researching this statistic. You can check it out here...
  • >burps

  • Surprisingly they ran away from us when we came at them with cameras.

    Bailey thinks this is funny.

Probably the most memorable part of Christmas day was the Christmas after party, a.k.a. the frat party I never went to in college, hosted by a troupe of Mark's rugby buddies at the rugby buddy house. Even more so than the Hasselhoff kayak and the breakfast pictures, I deeply mourn the loss of these photos. Never have I seen so many beer bottles in such a condensed area. Or such a brawny guy in a santa suit (shirtless, with coat hanging open) arm wrestling a string of equally brawny guys. Nothing says Christmas like drinking games and arm wrestling. These images will hopefully live on in my memory forever. We had a great time... thanks guys!

The day after Christmas we were off, efficiently fueled and rested up for our grand tour de south island via Angela's luxury sedan, generously on loan. So we said goodbye to the fam, packed our car full of salt and vinegar chips and exotic candy, and hit the road. (Not our actual car)

Wee Bailey Bright is a handsome lad. I can see both Angela and Mark, but mostly Mark.
